Jacob & Co. Introduces the New Epic X
low key While Jacob & Co. has made a name for itself with some of the most mechanically complex and visually spectacular watches of the past decade, such as the Astronomia and the Twin Turbo Furious, the brand also produces watches that are more in line with the rhythm of everyday life as the limited-time Epic X's form.
Launched in 2015, the Epic X was originally designed by French jewelery and watch designer and founder of independent watch brand M. Benjamin, Benjamin Muller, before being re-licensed by Jacob & Co. Originally known as the Spyder collection by M. Benjamin, the Epic X features striking sloping lugs that extend from the bezel to hug the strap like spider legs. Now, at Geneva replica luxury watches Days, Jacob & Co. presents a new generation of the Epic X, with subtle but important design tweaks to the case and dial.
Previously, the entire case had contrasting brushed and mirrored surfaces. The spider lugs have a raised polished edge, while the satin-brushed bezel has a broad polished bevel. The bezel and lugs are now smooth and fully polished for a fuller look and the watch rings louder on the wrist. This effect is further amplified by its massive 44mm case, available in rose gold, stainless steel or black DLC. It's paired with an equally striking five-link bracelet with polished, chamfered links that can still be worn with its signature cellular rubber strap.

Another update that gives it a bolder profile is the crown guard, which extends farther from the bezel. The crown itself has also been redesigned with a two-stage notched tip, while the crown tube is covered in colored aluminium.cheap replica watches
Powering the Epic X is the very airy, skeletonized Caliber JCAM45 developed by Concepto. The movement has been carefully thought out and built from the ground up as a skeleton movement. It has a skeletonized barrel held in place by a separate bridge, allowing the state of the wind to be approximated from the coils of the mainspring.
As with most skeletonized watches, the barrel and balance wheel are aligned vertically. However, in order to allow a clear view of the balance wheel below, the gear train does not traverse the central axis of the movement. Instead, it is relegated to the left, with a pinion above the second wheel of the movement directly driving the minute wheels in the movement. This opens up the dial and gives a full view of the escapement and balance. At the same time, the fully exposed movement is secured by a pair of vertical bridges decorated with guilloché de Paris hooping.Jacob & Co Astronomia
A striking detail on the back is the octopus-shaped mainspring with three elegantly curved blades. It is used in keyless as the stop spring for the setting and clutch levers, as well as the clicker spring for tensioning the winding clicker.
The smooth, evenly polished surface helps accentuate the watch’s lines and create a shinier visual, repositioning the watch within the brand’s minimalist watchmaking language, as spearheaded by its top-of-the-line watches.
The construction of the movement is actually impressive, but this effect is undercut by a pair of vertical bridges, which help to accentuate the vertically aligned barrel and balance wheel, visually connect the lugs and provide a beautiful setting for the highly polished case. The shell brings texture. However, Jacob & Co. assures that they may be skeletonized like the original in the future. As it stands, this all makes for a watch with strong and confident character, and if judged by Astronomia's standards, it could be a casual everyday sports watch.replica Richard Mille RM 011 Felipe Massa
